Around 2000 years ago, Italy was separated into separate regions, as the Roman Empire had fallen. Some of the most famous foods and drinks that we still enjoy today come from various areas of Italy – Naples is well known for having the best pizzas in the world, and of course Tuscany is revered for its fantastic wines. The hot climate of Sicily provides citrus fruits aplenty and of course the gorgeous Ice cream cake Cassata.
